This Sources Sought Notice (SSN)/Request for Information (RFI) to obtain responses from interested sources that can provide program management, test, and engineering support for the AN/ALQ-161A Defensive Avionics System (DAS) program. The program is currently going through a sustainment update on the B-1 Band 8 RF Source and Transmitter and the acquisition is for support in the design, development, fabrication, qualification, test, delivery, and fielding of the B-1 DAS prototype effort. In addition to the modernization effort, support is requested for on-going sustainment efforts and software updates to include supporting the Preprocessor Flight Software (PFS) Operational Flight Program (OFP), Deficiency Analyses (DA), and test support (including lab, ground and flight testing). The contractor shall support AFLCMC/WNY Test, Engineering and Program Management (PM) functions for the AN/ALQ-161A system by participating in all phases of the multi-year sustainment effort. The end goal is to provide a cost efficient, quality solution that can be fielded in a timely manner and support the Air Force mission. AFLCMC/WNY is the overall system technical authority and has Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) responsibilities, as well as program management responsibilities for all AN/ALQ-161A projects. Please see attached document for further detailed responsibilities.
