This is a notice of intent that AFSC/PZABB, Electronic Warfare Sustainment intends to purchase a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) supply contract for the purchase AN/ALQ-131 amplifiers detectors, (NSN): 5996-01-522-4242EW, PN: 202919-406; (NSN): 5895-01-522-1189EW, PN: 312124-502; (NSN): 5895-01-522-1190EW, PN: 312124-504 in support of the AN/ALQ-131 Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Pod, which is installed on the F-16 and A-10 aircraft. This effort is anticipated to be a five (5) year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Akon Incorporated, Cage: 5V234, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of parts from additional sources. This acquisition does include the development and delivery of technical data that may be utilized for future competitive procurements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The intended source for this acquisition is: Akon Incorporated (CAGE: 5V234) 102135 Ringwood Ave. San Jose, CA 95131 United States Specifications, plans, or drawings related to this procurement are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact identified as the primary and alternate POC in this post for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serous contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
