The Government is conducting market research for a potential sole-source requirement to Northrop Grumman Corporation for sustaining engineering, repair, and repairability/maintainability support of the modified WC-130J RTP APN-241 Weather Radar. Required capabilities include engineering studies, resolution of reliability/maintainability and obsolete/DMS issues, failure-trend analysis, installation/troubleshooting, and access to Northrop Grumman equipment and databases. The acquisition strategy is a 2-year contract plus a 6-month extension option beginning in FY27 and continuing through FY29. Performance includes engineering support during developmental testing up to 400 man-hours and on-site support at Eglin AFB with two engineers for three 5-day trips. This RFI is solely for information and planning, is not an RFP or a commitment to contract, and respondents bear their own costs.
