The U.S. Air Force intends to award a sole-source contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for integrated engineering, logistics, and analytical support for AC/HC/MC-130J special mission aircraft. The work will support requirements originating from Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and Robins AFB. The contract will be a six-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity agreement with a six-month option, for a total potential performance period of six and a half years. The performance period is anticipated to begin in Fiscal Year 2027 and end in Fiscal Year 2032. The justification cites that only Lockheed Martin can fulfill these requirements without unacceptable risk and substantial cost duplication.
