REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements to upgrade the software component of the WC-130J Stepped Frequency Microwave Radiometer (SFMR) Data Processor Unit (DPU), part number SFMR2020W-P / National Stock Number 5895-01-707-1390. The SFMR DPU resides in the Aerial Reconnaissance Weather Officer (ARWO) console in the WC-130J Hurricane Hunter cargo bay. This update to the software application supports National Hurricane Operations Plan (NHOP) requirements. The level of security clearance in this requirement is Unclassified. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor’s facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. The Government does not own or have access to the data for this system as it is proprietary to incumbent. Samples of the equipment are not available for evaluation.
