This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The product must be a device with maximum efficiency for both A2 and A1 scanning formats that is completed via an overhead camera/scanner that produces the highest image quality and productivity through the simplest operation possible. The quality standards for this product include Metamorfoze Light, ISO 19264 Level B, FADGI, optimized LED lighting, precise movement of the scan head, ease of use, minimum light exposure, software with a proven track record of ease and efficiency with operators and optimization of image processing, short scan times, a book cradle, a book holder and glass plates, a quality analysis software OS QM Tool, recyclable metals used for the scanner and book cradle, and must be electro-mechanically operated to ensure long service life.
