This is not an RFP and the Government will not pay costs associated with responding; it is a sources sought/pre-solicitation notice from AFSC/PZACB at Hill AFB, UT for an anticipated urgent sole-source commercial supply buy of 12 surplus F-16 Iridium Catalysts. Delivery of this critical flight-safety asset is required no later than November 1, 2026, to prevent aircraft grounding, but Honeywell (OEM with proprietary data rights) has a minimum new-production lead time of 328 days and cannot meet that schedule. Market research indicates only one qualified surplus supplier holds an existing lot of 12 catalysts that can meet the urgent requirement, so the Government anticipates a sole-source award to that supplier. Alternative interested sources must provide certified proof of qualified surplus inventory and demonstrate absolute capability to deliver the exact NSN/PN on-site no later than November 1, 2026. Funds are not presently available, and any Government obligation is contingent on appropriated funds being made available to the Contracting Officer.
