SOLICITATION - AMENDMENT 01 The purpose of this amendment is to add clarifying language to the RFP's CLIN titles under Section B. See the updated RFP under Attachments: FA8251-24-D-0008-0001 for more information. The proposal Due Date has not changed. SOLICITATION The purpose of this notice is to post the official Request for Proposal (RFP) for the F-16 Data Entry Display (DED) repair effort. The DED RFP # (FA8251-24-D-0007) has been changed to FA8251-24-D-0008, see Attachments. See the DED RFP document and associated attachments to this posting for more details. SYNOPSIS The purpose of this notice is to post the Synopsis for the F-16 Data Entry Display (DED) repair effort in anticipation of releasing the Solicitation by early April 2024 for this full and open acquisition with a qualified source requirement. A five-year IDIQ contract is anticipated for the major overhaul to include a complete tear-down into component parts and rework/replacement of the DED. This requirement is for all labor and supplies required for the repair effort. The F-16 Data Entry Display (DED) Display for fighting formation and flight system status, comprised of the chassis, tray, and head. The specific parts involved are as follows: F-16 Data Entry Display Unit Configurations FSC NIIN MMAC Part # 5895 011435443 WF 10-01125-08 DED Computer Sub Replaceable Units (SRU) FSC NIIN MMAC Part # 6130 219142914 WF 10-01126-07 6130 012072734 WF 10-01126-06 5998 011873272 WF 10-01109-06 5998 011811224 WF 10-01128-06 Contract repair is required for the four DED SRUs listed above. The government does not have any special test equipment for repair of the F-16 DED. The government does possess sufficient technical data to establish competitive sources, however all qualified sources must meet the requirements detailed in the Repair Qualification Requirements (RQR) document and AFMCI 23-113. Potential sources must also certify that they have availability to obtain certified replacement parts, and are able to handle the quantity of repairs in a timely manner, and without excessive condemnations.
