This announcement serves as a Request for Information (RFI) issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This RFI is issued for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Space and C3I Supply Chain Management Squadron in support of the AN/FMQ-7 SEON (Solar Electro-Optical Network) Team is considering procurement of Repair Services to repair optical instruments. The lens/optics repairs usually consist of removing the old coating, polishing, then re-coating the optical element. Optics should be free from aberration and astigmatism and tested to T.O. standards 31M1-2FMQ7-1 (6.11) or similar. The Optics repair requires special tests, reflective performance, electrical calibration equipment, and software to ensure fidelity of the optical elements. SEE ATTACHED RFI DOCUMENT
