RFI Contractor F-16 Pilot Services
The F-16 Support Program Office is conducting a market-research RFI to assess industry ability to provide two primary and one alternate qualified F-16 Block 50/52 ferry pilots for delivery of two F-16 Block 52 aircraft from Lockheed Martin’s Greenville, South Carolina facility to Martyr BG Ali Flaih Air Base, Iraq. Anticipated execution is March 2027, with pre-mission integration and approvals in January–February 2027 and GFR crew-record approval at least 45 days before departure. The contractor would furnish current, mission-capable pilots with F-16 PIC currency, boom aerial refueling qualification, survival/medical certifications, security clearance, and contractor-furnished ALSS while complying with DCMA Instruction 8210.1/GFR and theater-entry requirements. The Government would coordinate aircraft maintenance, fuel and aerial refueling, diplomatic clearances, and Coronet movements through the Program Office, AMC/ACC, and Lockheed Martin as applicable. The RFI requests capability information covering company/socioeconomic status, pilot availability and currency, AAR and survival training, DCMA/OEM interface experience, past performance, and industry feedback on lead time, contingency staffing, pricing models, and risk mitigation.
