This is a bridge contract, with an initial period of performance of two months, with four one-month option periods, with a total period of performance not to exceed six months. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation, Other Than Full and Open Competition. The Air Force is procuring services to manage the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group (309 AMXG) Facilitate Other maintenance (FOM) program. The contactor shall manage and maintain the 309 AMXG’s FOM program for aircraft parts and material. The intended source is BBH Consulting, Inc. They are the only source capable of performing this work until the follow-on contract is put in place. There will be a different solicitation released at a future date for a five-year FOM follow-on contract. The follow-on contract will be competitive. AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), JUSTIFICATION: SUPPLIES REQUIRED ARE FROM ONLY ONE OR A LIMITED NUMBER OF RESPONSIBLE SOURCE(S) AND NO OTHER TYPE OF SUPPLIES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES AND SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE, OR A LIMITED NUMBER OF SOURCES UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.301-1. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE ON THE SOLICITATION WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT.
