Description: RR-202/AL Chaff NSN: 1370-01-699-5750 AQ Part Number: 200326 This is a solicitation for a 3-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for the RR-202/AL. The RR-202/AL is a chaff countermeasure that is comprised of an aluminum case, plastic end cap, internal plastic sabot with Kapton wrap and an aluminum chaff payload. It is expended by use of an impulse cartridge (BBU-35 series or CCU-145/A, or equivalent impulse cartridge) which pushed the sabot out of the case into the aircraft slipstream. Once in the slipstream, the sabot is opened by the airflow and released the chaff payload for aircraft self protection. Total estimated ceiling amount for this contract effort is estimated to be $49 M. This is anticipated to be a sole source award to Armtec Defense Technologies under authority FAR 6.302-1 - 10 USC 3204(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is due to the requirement being a highly specialized supply/capability. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A1: The USAF anticipates an award date of January 2025 for this requirement. Q2: Conditions of a First Article Test (FAT) waiver? Q2: The USAF will consider waiver for vendors producing RR-202 units with previous contract closing within 12 months prior to award.
