The purpose of this RFI is to gather comments and potential sources for heavy maintenance for the A-10 fleet (260 aircraft). The scope includes recurring inspection, repair, and replacement of structural items across the entire aircraft as well as Avionics and Mechanical Systems repairs, updates, and component replacements. This includes both scheduled and drop-in maintenance, Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) requirements, Contract Field Team (CFT) Support, full strip, paint, and corrosion prevention coating restoration. The nacelles, horizontal, verticals, wing center and outer panels are all removable to facilitate maintenance activities. The associated interfaces are interchangeable and replaceable (MIL I-8500) controlled by tooling or dimensional tolerances.
