FA8201-22-R-0002 Aircraft Sunshade Inspection, Maintenance and Repair, Hill AFB UT 21 Jan 2022 12.603 Streamlined solicitation for commercial products or commercial services procedures are being used, the synopsis required by 5.203 and solicitation is being issued as a single document. Description of requirements for the items to be acquired. To inspect, maintain, and repair 72 Aircraft Sunshades (arranged in 6 rows of 12) located at Hill AFB UT on the 388th Fighter Wing Flight Line. Inspection, maintenance and repair to include Structural Supports for signs of corrosion, excessive movement, cracking or damage; lateral bracing for signs of corrosion, loosening, cracking, missing hardware, or fatigue damage, particularly at the connections; structural anchorage for signs of loosening and cracking around anchorage points on apron, lights, electric, bird nesting mitigation and lightning protection, Foreign Object, cleanliness and serviceability of installed safety markings. Vendor shall provide all necessary equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, personnel, labor, supervision, and management to perform the Inspections, Maintenance, and Repairs. The contractor shall perform inspections, maintenance and repairs in accordance with original equipment manufacturers’ (OEM) specifications, procedures, industry standards or best practices, (in that order) and in accordance with applicable federal, state and local building code and regulations or equivalent military standard Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facility Guide Specifications (UFGS). The contractor shall advise the Government’s Program Manager (PM) of any conflicts/ambiguities in the various documents before beginning any task. The Offeror shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and certified labor necessary to provide a complete GAC media replacement, reactivation service for carbon tanks A, B, C, and D located on the IWTP site at Hill AFB, Utah. The service will be conducted in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation by technicians certified to operate pneumatic-bulk slurry trailers. IWTP has six (6) GAC absorber tanks. The tanks are approximately 9.5 feet in diameter with a freeboard height of approximately 8 feet, and contain approximately 16530 lbs. of GAC in each tank. GAC in these tanks is exposed to wastewater containing a variety of organic chemicals and heavy metals from various industrial operations, and may consist of RCRA hazardous waste as defined by the US EPA and the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. A site visit will be conducted 03 December 2021 at 10 a.m. We will meet at the South Gate Visitor Center parking lot. A list of attendees including drivers license numbers must be submitted no later than 24 November 2021. Access: Hill AFB is not an open base and you must have a valid ID. Anyone who does not have the necessary identification to enter the base must make arrangements with Chris Ferguson to be vouched onto the installation.
