This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the purchase of - One (1) BioFire Torch PCR (or equal) Analyzer. Please provide a quote which includes the PCR Analyzer meeting or exceeding the minimum specifications of a BioFire Torch including all shipping and installation costs. The proposed equipment must meet or exceed the BioFire Torch random access multi-slot real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analyzer for performing rapid testing of samples. The instrument must greatly expand 75th Medical Group’s ability to test for COVID-19 and other respiratory pathogens, enabling the laboratory to better support the DoD directive of providing COVID-free forces. The new equipment must allow us to increase testing from the current capacity of just 20 samples per day to a minimum of 80 per day.
