The subsequent solicitation will result in a contract modification to add an additional 18 months of service to FA8106-17-D-0006, which is for the sustainment and modernization of critical mission communication capabilities for the E-4B National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) aricraft. The basic contract was awarded to Strategic Mission Systems, LLC (SMS) under CAGE code 7NF16 on 24 April 2017, with a period of performance spanning 25 June 2017 to 24 June 2024. A formal, sole-source soliciation will be posted on or around 27 November 2023 along with a redacted copy of the Justification & Approval documentation.
