USAF requests the purchase of: thirty-six (36) shoulder support units thirteen (13) back support units thirteen (13) neck support attachment seventeen (17) waist extenders Initial fit and maintenance training. The aforementioned industrial exoskeletons must include the following features: Shoulders: Must be designed to work with/ connect Back and Neck Units. Instantaneous force assist adjustment. (Must not switch out components to adjust support level.) Must include adjustments for arm length, waist diameter, and spinal height. Must fit 90% of human population in terms of size. Less than 7.5 lbs weight. At least 11 lbs lift support to Each Arm. Includes cooling system for operator comfort. One-size-fits-all style system. Operator-facing self-adjustment. No more than 5 inches of a silhouette increase during operation Minimum thirteen (13) of the Shoulder Units must come pre-configured to attach to/be worn with Back and Neck units. Back: Connects to shoulder unit Less than 7.5lbs weight At least 30lbs of lift support One-size-fits-all style system Operator-facing self-adjustment No more than 5 inches of a silhouette increase during operation Back must include adjustments for hip width, torso height, leg length, and torso diameter. Must be fall harness-compatible. (Not Rated, just able to wear concurrently.) Neck Supports and Waist Extenders: Connect to Shoulder Unit Must have adjustable resting angle. All Units: Must have easily identifiable donning/doffing features for emergency egress if required. None of these exoskeletons may use batteries for actual lift support, however tertiary functions (cooling, data analytics, lighting, etc..) can use small batteries. Whatever integrated suite of exoskeletons we use must be designed to interconnect with itself. (That is, someone should be able to wear a back, shoulder, and neck unit at the same time, without adverse ergonomic impact or impediment to normal operation.) Many mechanics vary their ergonomic positions during work, so this helps to cover them for more portions of their work day. Putting 2 different manufacturer's suits together could produce adverse health effects, which WILL NOT be technically acceptable, UNLESS contractor can provide long-term studies to confirm that 2 specific manufacturer's suits function in tandem safely over at least 6 months. The manufacturer of these exoskeletons must also provide proof of the ability to quickly scale up production to meet demand (i.e. providing suits by the hundreds within 3 months), while still maintaining quality control. This requirement complies with the Governmental Mandate 10 USC 2464 Core Workload requiring us to scale up repair operations quickly for wartime efforts. Training: Can be done onsite or remotely, preference is onsite. (Dependent on health guidance.) Must encompass users, training of the onsite trainers, and stakeholders. **See associated Item Description and Statement of Work**
