The Air Force intends solicit for the following commodity: The purchase of 9 Fabricated Crew Hatch Grates. The requested descriptions/specifications are outlined below. Fabricate nine (9) X201961717 "... The Air Force intends solicit for the following commodity: The purchase of 9 Fabricated Crew Hatch Grates. The requested descriptions/specifications are outlined below. Fabricate nine (9) X201961717 "B-52 Crew Hatch Grate Assembly" per drawing. The first Grate (as a prototype) will be subjected to functional tests to assess the viability of the item in the production maintenance process. This will take up to twenty-five (25) days. If the grate needs modifications as a results to the review, the engineer will provide for the updating drawing along with a brief description in writing of the needed updates. The remaining eight (8) shall be delivered no more than sixty (60) days after engineering has validated and verified (val/ver'd) the first. All shipped and delivered grates shall be fully assembled. Contractor must have access to all standards or specifications reference in the drawing. All items fabricated IAW X201961717, must be val/ver'd prior to delivery by an in-house or third party quality assurance specialist (see qualification below). A formal report shall be provided to engineering. All welders must be AWS Certified Welders (CW). Company shall have at least 10 years of experience in machining and fixture fabrication. Quality assurance specialist who has at least 5 years of experience with the ASME Y14.100 specification including appendices B through E. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. Estimated Delivery should be 70 days ARO. System for Award Management (SAM) is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ . The NAICS code for this requirement is 331511 with a size standard of 1,000 EMP. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting a proposal.
