This requirement is for the manufacture of F108 Engine Fan Booster Container's which applies to NSN's 8145-01-204-0865 and Part Number's (PN) 856A3338G02. This is expected to be a commercial, firm fixed price, fixed quantity type contract. The F108 Fan Booster Containers must be manufactured IAW current technical drawings. The Air Force intends to solicit full and open competition for the acquisition of 6 F108 Engine Fan Booster Containers, this quantity is tentative . NSN: 8145-01-204-0865. The contract will require a first article test prior to full production. Technical drawings will be posted with the solicitation and will be controlled. Potential offerors will be provided technical drawing access through the Government's contracting office with a signed non-disclosure agreement . Offerors will need to provide a DD from 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement for access to the drawings. This is a pre-solicitation notice. No proposals will be accepted until the request for solicitation is posted. This pre-solicitation notice will be posted for a shorter than 15 day period IAW with FAR 5.203(a)(1), which states "...The notice must be published at least 15 days before issuance of a solicitation, or a proposed contract action the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302, except that, for acquisitions of commercial products or commercial services, the contracting officer may- (1) Establish a shorter period for issuance of the solicitation;" See Attached Synopsis.
