Presolicitation Synopsis for FA812123R0002 1. Estimated Solicitation issue date: 20 October 2023 Estimated Solicitation closing/response date: 20 November 2023 2. PR#: FD20302301470 3. This acquisition will be one-time firm-fixed-price (FFP), āCā type contract for the purchase of spare parts in support of the F100 Engine. 4. Item: Turbine Engine Supervisory Control Unit 5. Part Number(s): P/N 4089287D03, NSN: 2995-01-519-5438NZ 6. Description: NSN: 2995-01-519-5438NZ Turbine Engine Supervisory Control Unit is 2.5 ft long, 1 ft wide, 8 in heigh, weigh 1 lb. An electronic unit that continuously monitors engine speed, temperature, and air flow and adjusts the fuel control, main, turbine engine to compensate for changes. This is a critical safety item. 7. Quantity/Delivery: CLIN 0001, NSN: 2995-01-519-5438NZ, 18 units, 12 February 2024, early delivery is acceptable. 8. Application: F100 Engine 9. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base (TAFB), OK 10. UID: If unit price exceeds $5,000 then UID requirements will apply 11. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. 12. Additional Information: Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
