Solicitation Number: FA8121-22-R-0021 NAICS: 336412 FSC Code: 2840 SB Set Aside Status: N/A Subject: Spares Buy of the F100-PW-229 Antifriction Housing NSN: 2840-01-620-8083NZ; P/N 4089010-01 Description: The Government intends to issue a sole source (Raytheon Technologies, dba P&W, CAGE 52661) solicitation on or about 15 March 2021 with a close date of 15 April 2021 for the spares buy (supply) of the F100-PW-229 Antifriction Housing. The requirement is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Quantity contract. This notice of intent does not in itself represent the issuing of a formal request for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per FMS PR FD2030-21-00808 as follows: 1) Function: This is a #4 bearing front air seal/heat shield. Dimensions: Length: 12.0000 IN Width: 12.0000 IN Height: 5.0000 IN Weight: 5.100 LB. This is a CRITICAL SAFETY ITEM (CSI), MQR-PSD-1. 2) List of applicable CLINs: CLIN 0001: Supply of NSN(s): 2840-01-620-8083NZ; P/N 4089010-01 Noun: Antifriction Housing Quantity: 4 EA Delivery is anticipated to be: 4 units on 28 JUNE 2022 *Early delivery is acceptable. 3) Quality Requirements: Higher Level Contract Quality Requirements AS9100 4) Engineering Instruction: EIM-1, REV E apply 5) Surplus Material Requirements: Find applicable Surplus Material Worksheet and Surplus Material Evaluation sheet. 6) Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements, MQR-PSD-1. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs) and/or approved manufacturing sources. Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the solicitation is closed, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. 7) Export Control Requirements: Yes 8) IUID: IUID requirements will apply. OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.) The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
