L3/Harris: Does the KC-135 plan on using Video Teleconferencing over MUOS like the Special Air Mission aircraft? Answer: No VTC, voice and data only. Raytheon: Will this be a federated install or connected to FMS? Answer: Current communications are on FMS, MUOS voice also to be connected to FMS. Red and Black LAN configurations TBD. Answer: Maintain current Black connectivity…possibly ACARS data and similar unclassified data. Red BLOS Data usage is TBD, depending on AMC guidance once Concept of Operations (CONOPS) are better defined. Raytheon: What data capabilities are you looking for? Answer: ACARS data type set, front end use only. AMC has not solidified their CONOPS yet so we are open to suggestions on how other platforms are using secure data. MUOS IPT: Do you (industry) expect band width issues in the future once MUOS is proliferated in theater? Industry: MUOS is designed to be self-managing depending on number of users and data rates. The data rates will decrease as more users are on the system and those with lower priorities will be kicked off.
