As a result of the solicitation, the government intends to make an award to the sole source vendor, The Boeing Company, 6001 S. Air Depot Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73135. The sole source authority for this effort can be found in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award will be a Basic "D" type contract for a period of five years. No funds will be obligated to the Basic contract. Requirements described in the Contract Line Item Structure (CLIN)(s) will be funded through individual Task Orders. The target award date is on or before 16 July 2022. Sub-contracting opportunities may be available through the sole source vendor. A description of the service is provided below for the purpose of maximizing sub-contracting opportunities to small business. This effort shall provide complex, sophisticated and technical sustainment and engineering services necessary to maintain operational availability, performance and security for the FRMLU modified E-3F aircraft, associated ground support systems (including training devices), associated repair/diagnostic equipment and support labs. Sustainment and engineering support will be provided through individual task order(s) under the FRMLU ISS #2 Sustainment and Engineering Contract. The following is a summary of the required services: recurring and non-recurring sustainment engineering, software maintenance, hardware maintenance, field and lab services. The contractor will also provide status updates and track government furnished property as needed. The contractor shall develop quality control procedures and comply with all contract clauses for reporting and documentation.
