This refraction station is the main hub of for patient care in each eye lane. It is used to house, mount, and control the Marco refraction station along with all equipment required for patient care. This station includes the main lighting controls for the room for easy reach and access for the provider when using the slit lamp and phoropter. This unit will evaluate vision to see if light is correctly passing through the eyes. It will also test field of depth and allow for a proper diagnosis of contacts/glasses prescriptions. This workstation can also check for any abnormalities within the eyes. The system must have the following salient characteristics: Max height 930mm Min height 670mm slide stroke 480mm Slide speed of 3.5 and 6 seconds per lap Optional on/off button for beep sound Allowable load of 25kg or greater Run off of AC100V power Have a base weight (excluding accessories) of 150kg maximum The Workstation must be wheelchair accessible Workstation must have adjustable height positions for the desk and main console panel There should be a drawer to allow storage for lens sets and other supplies Refractor Arm should provide extended reach For patient safety, the adjustable table must automatically disable motion if patient contact occurs.
