The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Operations Directorate (AFCEC/CO) has a requirement for updating the content of UFC 03-301-01 (Structural Engineering) and the Whole Building Design Guide website to include Risk Catergory 1-V content. This update is applicable to the military installations in the state of Florida that could be effected by future hurricanes. The updates shall include; replace load tables in UFC 03-301-10 with a web based form; adopt judicious aspects of the State of California’s provisions for acute care hospitals; and incorporate supplementary vertical seismic acceleration requirements as deemed prudent.
