This notice is prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The contracting office responsible for this notice is the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Contracting Directorate (PK), Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, 20762. The AFDW/PK intends to award a sole source contract to Environamics, Inc. located at 13935 S Point Blvd in Charlotte, NC 28273-7716 for the manufacture and installation of demountable smart walls integrated with the current systems using the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13—Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1-- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements due technical compatibility and proprietary data. The Government has deemed Environamics, Inc. to be a responsible contractor. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement is 337214 - Office Furniture (Except Wood) Manufacturing for which the Small Business size standard is 1,000 employees. The Federal Supply Code (FSC)/Product Service Code (PSC) is 7110. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement by 3:00 PM EST on 4 March 2022. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of capability statements. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement. If no sufficient response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. A sufficient response includes documentation that indicates the vendor’s experience and ability to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
