This solicitation will close on Jan 27, 2020 at 0900am EST. All quotes received after this date and time will be considered late. This requirement is set-aside as a 100% Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside. This requirement is identified as “brand name or equal.” To be considered for award, offers of “equal” products must comply with all parts of 52.211-6. The salient characteristics for this requirement are as follows: Small, hardcover, pocket-size fill-in journals to be used by Air Force service members, DoD civilians, and their spouses, children, parents and friends impacted by military deployments and separations. Journals will be used as resiliency tools capable of facilitating open communication and strengthening relationships of those experiencing stress associated with separations due to deployments, extended travel duty, and short tours. Journals must be no larger than 3.5 x 5 inches and easily fit in service uniform pockets, purses and children's backpacks and can be kept as a keepsake and accessible at any time. Content to include no more than 125 prompts for user to provide personalized responses and express affection to another in a relaxing and non-judgmental manner. Pages must have sufficient space to add graphics and comments. The responses can be as simple as “I love ‘GOING TO COSTCO TOGETHER.’” Content to be used to for express affection and for one another and encourage open and relaxed dialogue outside of what is considered to be used in clinical, medical, and/or religious-based counseling. Books will be shipped directly from vendor’s source to 211 Airman and Family Readiness Center locations around the world – regular US Postal Service and APO mail is deemed as an acceptable delivery method and required for some locations as base access is not otherwise achievable, a list of addresses is attached.
