SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code proposed is 333517: Machine Tool Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. REQUIREMENT: The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) anticipates a requirement to provide and install one new Wire Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Drill to Fairchild Hall located at USAFA, CO 80840. The Wire EDM Drill must include the following minimum salient characteristics: Be able to drill through hardened materials X Travel of > 11.5”, Y Travel > 7.8”, Z-Travel > 12” Be able support a workpiece of at least 8”x 8”x8” and 400lbs Need at least 3 axes of motion Manual machining capabilities Has an electrode diameter range of 0.012” to 0.120” Power supply must work with 208V/3 phase <30A Peak Load Has a digital display and digital read out system Contains all chucks, guides, seals, and electrodes needed to drill from ~0.012” to 0.12”, over 8 size steps Includes minimum 1-year manufacturer’s warranty Includes delivery to USAFA, installation/setup and initial training Compliant with the Buy American Statute REQUESTED INFORMATION: Interested and qualified parties should submit a capabilities statement that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements.
