The United States Air Force Academy Department of Chemistry requires a replacement Fourier Transform/Infrared Spectrometer (FT/IR) for a unit that is becoming obsolete. The FT/IR is an instrument that collects molecular functional group analytical data based on the amount of light that the sample absorbs in the infrared light range. The new system will support several chemistry courses including Chem 222, 243, 444, 445, 481 and 499, as well as occasional analytical analysis requests from other departments. *Please see attached. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.
