This repair project for the Ground Control Approach (GCA) Radar Support Facility (building 557) will consist of the following: replace the roofing system; replace all exterior windows and doors; replace all interior walls, all flooring and ceiling finishes (including carpet, floor tile, paint, and ceiling tiles); replace all lighting fixtures; replace the HVAC system; replace the plumbing distribution; reconfigure the interior parttions to convert half of the newly renovated building 557 space to serve as a functional mail facility (mailroom); upgrade the building power supply distribution system to include relocating the power supply distribution system from building 545 to building 557; install a complete fire protection sprinkler system; replace the existing alarm system , if necessary; and replace the communications system as required. This demolition project will consist of the following: demolish buildings 545 and 545A; demolish the concrete foundations for building 557B and 557C; demolish all underground electrical wiring as required; demolish all miscellaneous concrete structures to include sidewalks, pads and old radar foundations. Before any soil is disturbed the site will need to be tested for jet fuel contamination. Demolished areas and areas of ground disturbance will be graded and seeded. All work is to be performed on Dobbins ARB. This is a synopsis only. All bidders are to refer to the attached Specifications and Drawings for actual requirements associated with this solicitation.

This project will consist of replacing the roofing system, all exterior windows and doors, all interior walls, flooring and ceiling finishes (including carpet, floor tile, paint and ceiling tiles). This project will also replace all lighting fixtures and interior partitions as needed to reconfigure space for a mail facility. The HVAC system and plumbing distribution will be replaced and half of the newly renovated facility will be repurpose as a mailroom. This effort will also upgrade the building power supply distribution system and relocate it from facility 545 to building 557. A complete fire protection sprinkler system will be installed and existing alarm system will be replaced, if necessary. Communications system will be replaced as required. This project will demolish facilities 545 and 545A, concrete foundation for building 557B/557C as well as underground electrical wiring as required. In addition, this project will demolish all miscellaneous concrete structures to include sidewalks, pads and old radar foundations.
