Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, FL, has a requirement for annual maintenance, 5 or 6 year maintenance, and 12 year hydrostatic testing on a variety of types and sizes of portable fire extinguishers to include but not limited to the following types of extinguishers: ABC, Dry Chemical, Metal-X, and 150 lb. Halon and NOVEC flight line extinguishers. Technicians will inspect, service, and test extinguishers in accordance with, but not limited to, the following: 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart H, NFPA 10, UFC 3-600-01 Chapter 9-17, AMEREX manufacturers data, Halon Recycling Corporation Code of Practice for Halon reclaiming Companies, 29 CFR 1910, Subpart L, Chapter 69A-21, Florida Administrative Code, Section 633, Florida Statutes, and any other federal, state and/or local regulations at Homestead Air Reserve Base (ARB).
