The EchoShield is a low-SWaP, software-defined 4D pulse-Doppler radar operating in Ku-band, using Echodyne's proprietary Metamaterials Electronically Steerable Antenna (MESA) technology. It provides a 130° azimuth by 90° elevation field of view, sub-0.5° angular tracking accuracy, and can track over 1,000 objects simultaneously while outputting high-precision data to sensors and effectors. The ruggedized unit meets MIL-STD-810H and IP67 standards, and its customizable waveforms enable missions such as counter-UAS, ground dismount/vehicle tracking, coastal perimeter security, and on-the-move operations. The 57 RQS requests acquisition of four EchoShield radars, four units of software uprates and technical support, and the EchoShield rapid deployment kit.
