NOTICE: This is a Sources Sought notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought notice is published for market research purposes only. This market survey is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements for providing two T700 Engine Stands for Aviano AB. The specifications are listed below for better understanding of the needs of Aviano AB and the respondent's potential ability to meet the Government's requirements. DETAILS: All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be awarded a DoD contract. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 336412, Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. Vendor must be able to provide two engine stands for a General Electric T700-GE-701 C/D Engine. The engine stand must meet the following specifications: - Must be able to safely attach to and support GE T700-GE-701 C/D Engine. - Allow a maintainer to easily perform engine overhaul maintenance without a tripping hazard. - A footprint with an approximate length of 42 inches by a width 44.5 inches, and a height of 27.25 inches. - Made of steel with welds meeting/exceeding AWS D1.1 or global equivalent standard. - Emerald Green color (RAL 6001) is preferred, but other colors are acceptable as long as its powder coated. - 4 EA Locking roller bearing casters with a weight rating of 1200lbs each or equivalent. - Removable steel drip pan. - Vendor must be able to provide historical data of selling proposed stand to US Government Agencies but not limited to the Department of Defense. Prospective contractors are cautioned to ensure that the proper NAICS code appears in their SAM report. All interested parties shall submit a capabilities package. Interested contractors shall submit up to a maximum 4 page capabilities document. The capabilities package shall be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements. The package shall include not only capability, but also a summarized plan of how the capabilities will be met. Include the following in your statement of capabilities: Company Name; Address; Point of Contact; Telephone number; E-Mail Address; CAGE Code; Web Page URL. Please submit one (1) electronic copy of your response to vincent.gans@us.af.mil and brandon.skinner.2@us.af.mil no later than 21 March, 2023 at 4:30 PM CET. CONCLUSION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation, nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. If the Government decides to award a contract for this effort, a solicitation will be issued at a later date.
