FA568223Q0041 Questions and Answers 13 Sep 2023". **************************************************************************************** SOLICITATION FA568223Q0041 AMENDMENT 0001 - 7 SEPTEMBER 2023 Purpose of this amendment is to provide a new version of the SOO (as named as: 04.SOO_144 st SM Diverse Fiber Ring 7Sep2023). First period of para. 2.2.2.2 has changed: FROM "The Contractor shall install single mode (SM), loose buffer tube, water blocked, outside plant (OSP) fiber optic cable (FOC) suitable for underground applications." TO "The Contractor shall install single mode (SM), loose buffer tube, water blocked, fiber optic cable (FOC) suitable for underground and indoor applications (to eliminate cable transitioning from outdoor to indoor)." Copies of the Amendment 1 and new version of SOO are attached **************************** The 31st Contracting Squadron is issuing this solicitation for procurement of Fiber Optic Cable Installation, Aviano AFB, Italy. The US Government requirement is for the Contractor to engineer, furnish, install, and test (EFIT&T) new single mode (SM) fiber optic cables (FOC) between three network core node (CN) buildings; B11341, B10293 and B1442; and, between CN B10293 and B1325 - a tech control facility (TCF), as indicated in the enclosed SOO’s sketches/slides, at Aviano AB Italy. All work shall be performed in accordance with National, Regional, Local, Laws/Codes, and safety standards dictated by most current Italian laws and directives. This service requirements are to support the 31st Communication Squadron, Aviano AB mission. SITE VISIT A Pre-quotation Conference and Site Visit are planned for 6 SEPTEMBER 2023, at 10.00 A.M. local time and will be held at Aviano AFB, Italy. All prospective offerors are highly encouraged to attend and are encouraged to inspect the sites where the requirement is to be performed.
