Yes, this is satisfactory. 4-QUESTION. Does each of the targets require its controller? 4-ANSWER. No, but they must all run in synchronization with each other. QUESTION. Could you please let us know if a moving target that follows a “track” can be up armored to meet your need? We can then mount a reactive target onto a chassis. Can you please describe the terrain you are trying to field this unit on? The RFQ states, “Target must be able to maintain an even vertical and horizontal movement across rocky terrain”. In case of a moving target that follows a PVC piping track, this track lays on the ground and is secured with ground stakes. Would this meet your needs? 1. ANSWER. The terrain we will be operating on, is rocks/gravel/up and down hill slopes. This does NOT meet our needs due to requiring metal wheels per the RFQ and doesn’t seem like the PVC pipe would move smoothly across the rocky terrain and be stable across 24 meters of track. 2. QUESTION. Could you please let us know if there is a target berm to protect the system? 2. ANSWER. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is FA568222Q7025 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this source sought. Aviano Air Force Base anticipates a requirement considered under the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed 339999. The requirement is to provide: Six (6) Remote Controlled Moving Target System Salient Characteristics: Moving Target System Must be Six (6) in quantity. Must be rated up to 7.62 mm. Must have 24 meters of track. Target must be able to maintain an even vertical and horizontal movement across rocky terrain. Will need to hold a cardboard “E” silhouette, 40in x 20 in. Must have the ability to set up and tear down entire system within two (2) hours. Must be capable of being dissembled and transported in a 8’ x 5’ truck bed. Must be remote controlled to a minimum of 800 meters. Wheels must be made of metal to prevent system from becoming inoperable if shot. Target must have ability to pop up and down by remote control. Must be battery powered and rechargeable. Must be able to operate continuously for four (4) hours. Vendor will provide: Initial training on set up, tear down and working operations. Vendor will provide::Maintenance Manual and compliance EU certificates and/or U.S. safety standards and regulations in case of U.S. manufactured products. Provide quote for direct shipping.
