INTRODUCTION This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought and Request for Information (RFI) for industry comment. Please note this notice is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). The 764th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) is the United States Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) centralized organization for executing enterprise-wide strategic sourcing. Strategic sourcing best practices are utilized to continually improve and re-evaluate organizational purchasing activities, improve quality, and reduce costs. This RFI is in consideration of a potential solicitation for passenger luggage x-ray machines for AMC Passenger Terminals located within USAFE-AFAFRICA. The attached SOW provides the description of product (including specific size/dimension requirements) and installation and training requirements. Additionally, customer support of hardware/software maintenance and warranty requirements are also outlined. Appendix A within the SOW outlines performance and delivery locations and number of X-Ray machines needed per location. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Responses will be treated as information only and will not be used as a proposal. Any information provided by industry to the Government, as a result of this RFI, is strictly voluntarily. Vendors will not be reimbursed for any cost related to this RFI. The information obtained from industry responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future RFQ. Please, do NOT submit actual proposals, prices, marketing materials, or any other deliverables in your company’s RFI response. DO NOT submit item prices or product information at this time. QUESTIONS Interested vendors may provide responses to the following questions with respect to interest, unique capabilities and the proposed contract/acquisition strategy. What is the overall footprint of the machine; length, width, height? Is the tunnel at least 39.5” wide? Is the tunnel at least 39.5” tall? Is there an initial 12 month service contract? Is the machine dual voltage? Does the machine have dual view capabilities? Does the machine automatically detect explosives? Does the machine have high resolution technology for imaging? Does the machine come with two color LCD monitors? Does the machine have the capabilities to store images? Does the machine come with familiarization training? Does the manufacturer have a technical support office? Can the manufacturer install equipment in Qatar, Italy, Greece, England, Germany, Spain and Bahrain? Do you foresee any issues/limitations in delivering to overseas locations? Are there any other questions/concerns?
