Sources Sought Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) Maintenance and Repair in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) Synopsis: As part of market research, the 700th Contracting Squadron is seeking qualified contractors that are capable of providing all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to maintain, repair, and inspect the real property vertical transportation equipment (VTE) in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), Ramstein Air Base (TYFR), Ramstein Air Base-Construction & Training Squadron (MTMC), Kaiserslautern-Vogelweh (YANB), Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof (TYFT), Kaiserslautern-Kapaun Air Station (TYFU) and Landstuhl-Kirchberg (MTMN) in a manner that will ensure its continuous and safe operation. Should a future requirement evolve from this preliminary planning process, the anticipated start date of performance is on or about 1 November 2022. 700 CONS anticipates to award a contract with a contractual period of five years. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids nor proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, IFB or RFP, if any issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE). It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is: 238290 – Other Building Equipment Contractors and/or 811310 – Commercial and Industry Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Beatrice Meier at beatrice.meier.1.de@us.af.mil with a courtesy copy (cc) to Venice Pamparo, venice.pamparo.1@us.af.mil at no cost to or obligation to the Government no later than 10 March 2022, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
