This certification is needed because any work performed on Unify systems by uncertified personnel will void all services and warranties associated with the equipment. The Government requires a Unify certified service provider to provide IT maintenance services. This includes providing remote or on-site support for problem determination and resolution, and providing new software releases, maintenance releases and patches. Unify, Inc. is a direct manufacturer of Unify products, and a direct distributor of Unify offered products and services which are proprietary to Unify. Unify will not accept trouble tickets directly from customers of unauthorized maintenance service providers nor will they accept or work directly with any unauthorized maintenance service providers. Unify will accept trouble tickets directly from Unify Certified maintenance service providers.
