The 52nd Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Stolberger Inc. (DBA Wardwell Braiding Co.) for the procurement of the following item: 24 Carrier Wardwell Wire Harness Braiding Machine Vertical axis operation, direct drive with AC motor. Magnetic switch mounted on guard cover for operator’s safety. For wire harness application. Motor and controls to be wired for 220V, 1PH. Without Motorized Capstan Take-up to control the braid coverage. Wardwell Braiding Co. has been identified by Technical Order 1-1A-14. The Wardwell braiding machine is the standard braiding machine used across the Air Force in Aircraft E/E shops. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Questions regarding this notice must be submitted by 13 Feb 2023, 0900 CET. All inquiries received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
