The contractor shall provide all services and supplies necessary to provide three Range Finders / Binoculars for the 52 OSS at Spangdahlem AB. Weather requires a laser rangefinder to identify visibility markers to provide weather observations for aviation use. The rangefinder also needs to have a fine wavelength in order to provide returns from water particles suspended in the air in order to show distance to cloud bases as well as distance visible in surface obscurations. The Range Finders / Binoculars must preform at least to the following standards. ? Capability to see/measure beyond 7 miles (11,265m) (to verify unrestricted visibility) ? Capability to measure cloud base heights up to and greater than 3K ft (914m) ? Accuracy +/? 5m or better ? Ability to calculate azimuth/declination - Laser Type 1,550 nm (Affects visibility against NVGs) - Accuracy 5 m (500 to 12,000 m) or finer
