Close date remains unchanged at 28 August 2023. The Contractor shall perform the inspection, structural repair, corrosion treatment, and painting of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and Support Equipment (SE) to extend the life cycle of such equipment. The contractor shall perform corrosion removal techniques IAW TO 1-1-8; Sand or scuff equipment needing minor corrosion treatment, but bead blast is the only method of removing corrosion from moderate to severely corroded pieces of AGE IAW TO 1-1-8 and TO 35-1-3; Perform necessary structural repairs IAW TO 00-25-252; Treat and prime all metal surfaces IAW TO 1-1-8 and TO 35-1-3, paint any parts removed; Perform touch-up painting as necessary, reapply marking, stencils, and decals IAW TO 35-1-3. All painted parts/complete units will be inspected for paint system compliance IAW TO 1-1-8. The contractor shall provide a mobile or temporary corrosion repair facility that is transportable and used to perform corrosion remediation and repaint of military vehicles, AGE, and SE. The mobile or temporary facility will be erected at the customer’s location. The configuration typically consists of a three to four-shelter system: Preparation Shelter, Paint Shelter, and Cure Shelter.
