Amendment 0002 This amendment is to extend the solicitation period. This solicitation is moving from closing 1 August 2022, to 5 August 2022. We are also including Q&A below to address questions asked. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you. "We noticed that the RFQ specified ADR ‘ALL CLASSES’ which also includes the ability to draw a petrol tanker, ie., bulk flammable liquids. However on Beta Sam website, the information specified is ADR II which is a lesser category and also cheaper compared to the above mentioned. Could you please confirm the ADR class required ?" The answer to this is that we need ADR EX II Approved vehicles. This will allow for transport of an adequate amount of explosive cargo on the trailers we will be utilizing. RAF Lakenheath's Logistics Readiness Squadron requires United Kingdom Specific Tractor/Trailer combinations (lorries) to accomplish their cargo delivery mission. The American Vehicles that RAF Lakenheath is currently operating exceed these requirements and are not fit for purpose. The 48th LRS are requesting the following: 2 Each - Lorry Truck 6x2 Midlift - (Full specifications included in SOW) 3 Each - Curtainside Trailer - (Full specifications included in SOW) All UK Lorry units come with built in Tachographs, a system to gauge the number of hours that a driver is driving. This is a UK requirement for UK companies. However, the USAF does not require these systems. We request that this system be disabled/removed from the trucks prior to delivery as they can cause irrelevant codes and data to be produced by the trucks. Also, all tractors/trailers must conform to ADR rules/regulations, ADR Type II. ADR translates to "Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises dangereuses par route" which translates as "The European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road." These vehicles must be suitable to transport ADR Cargo.
