The actual extent of work requirements will be governed by the specifications and drawings. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held 14 April 2021, 0900 hrs local time, in the Contracting Conference room, Building 106. To attend you must notify the Construction Management Office (sydney.derizzio.1.ctr@us.af.mil) at least 5 labor days in advance (21 days for third country nationals). Bidders/Offerors are requested to submit questions to the point of contact noted in this solicitation not later than 22 April 2021 at 1300 hrs. Information provided at this conference shall not qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. Terms of the solicitation and specifications remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. If an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of solicitation amendments shall apply. Proposals must be received by the Contracting Officer (as described in Sec L) no later than 1300 hrs local time on 3 May 2021. Proposals submitted by the facsimile will NOT be accepted. The United States Air Force intends to issue solicitation FA5575-21-R-0001 to solicit proposals for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Design and Construct the Repair of the Runway Edges and Shoulders at Morón AB, Spain. The magnitude of construction for this project is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 U.S. Dollars. The period of performance for this project is estimated at 455 calendar days. The work includes, but is not limited to: The basic bid includes the design and build of: a) The repair of the flexible pavements of both outside edges of Runway (RWY) 02/20 located between both 304.8-meter ends of that runway. The option bid no. 1 includes the design and build of a) The repair of the flexible pavements of both east and west shoulders of RWY 02/20. b) The replacement of the rigid pavements of both east and west shoulders of RWY 02/20 with flexible pavements. The option bid no. 2 includes the design and build of: a) The replacement of the elevated runway edge lights located within both 304.8-meter ends of RWY 02/20 with surface runway edge lights. b) The replacement of the electrical conduits, wiring and transformers of the elevated runway edge lights located within both 304.8-meter ends of RWY 02/20 from the manholes located outside the shoulders to the runway edge lights. General cleaning of the work site. Delivery of As-Built drawings. Delivery spatial data for the new sewer lines and manholes.
