The purpose of this project is to Design, Furnish, Construct, and Install an electrical feeder and equipment for 776th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron (EABS), Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti (CADJ). The Contractor shall Design and Construct this facility IAW Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-550-01 Exterior Electrical Power Distribution and UFC 1-201-01, Non-Permanent DoD Facilities in Support of Military Operations, at a facility construction level of “Semi-Permanent.” The existing electrical distribution system at Chabelley Airfield includes a 4160 volt (V), three-phase electrical power plant, two (2) primary switching centers (PSC), medium voltage (MV) underground cable, and secondary distribution centers (SDC). The existing electrical distribution feeder originates at PSC 2 (S/N PSC624-0005) and extends to the taxiway infield, and is direct buried. The existing electrical distribution feeder may conflict with active construction. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to verify and coordinate all schedules with active construction projects. The Contractor shall verify all Government provided information. The Contractor shall be responsible for any surveys, excavations, soil borings, soil analyses, chemical tests, laboratory tests, pressure tests, electrical tests, corrosion and cathodic protection tests, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and any other tests required for construction of this project. Documentation of any of the above tests or surveys shall be provided in the Design Analysis. The Contractor shall provide investigation, site survey, and analysis to prepare the Design Analysis and Supporting Construction Documents. NOTE: The solicitation tentative dates for issuing is 24 Jun 21. The plans will be available for inspection without charge with the solicitation. The bids should be submitted submitted 30 days after the solicitation issue date.
