Marina Slip, Security, and Vessel Towing Services
The Department of Air Force is conducting market research to identify commercial sources capable of providing marina berthing, access, security, utility connections, periodic vessel checks, and towing support for an unmanned vessel in the San Diego, California area. The required slip must accommodate an 89-foot LOA, 20-foot beam, and 6-foot draft vessel, with at least 6 feet of water depth at the slip, approach, and egress route (10 feet preferred), plus a 60-amp shore-power connection and potable-water hose connection. The marina must offer 24-hour controlled access and security, allow the vessel to remain unmanned with periodic checks, and provide towing support from Harbor Island West Marina to the proposed marina location no later than 31 October 2026. This market research may be used to assess capability, refine requirements, and inform a potential future acquisition strategy, with no government reimbursement for response costs.
