The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, safety equipment, and any other pertinent items or services required to assess the severity of concrete degradation. Additionally, the Contractor will determine the structural integrity of areas that exhibit concrete and steel section loss within the facilities specified in this PWS. (Attachment 1) - Scanning of Concrete Structures: The Contractor is required to perform scanning on approximately 6-12 inches thick steel reinforced concrete across both horizontal and vertical surfaces. This includes the entire roof slabs, load-bearing walls, beams, columns, exterior overhangs, walkways, and canopies of the buildings listed in Attachment 2. The government may request additional units be added under the optional CLIN 1001 and/or CLIN 2001, each consisting of 3 buildings. The non-invasive scanning process must effectively detect various defects, including but not limited to spalling, cracks, voids, and other structural anomalies, on both the exterior and interior surfaces of the structures. The Contractor will be responsible for removing ceiling tiles and insulation, as well as navigating around any utilities or obstructions as necessary to complete the required scanning and testing procedures. The contractor is responsible for returning all items to its original state after scanning and testing.
