SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, bids, or quotes. The Government is not obligated to award a contract based on responses received. Purpose: This Sources Sought Notice helps the Government identify potential sources for the upcoming construction project. Project Information: The Government seeks information from qualified and experienced Contractors capable of completing projects similar in scope and magnitude to the project description below. Contractors must demonstrate the ability to obtain the necessary project bonding. REPAIR FIRE DEPARTMENT FACILITY STORAGE, T-271 This project is to remove and install new roof, roofing system, roofing insulation, wall, and wall insulation, water leak, building T-271(DES/PMO ANNEX and FES ANNEX), Torii station, Okinawa, Japan. Design and construction shall comply with the specifications and requirements contained in the Contract. The design and technical criteria contained and cited in the Contract establishes the minimum standards for design and construction quality. Sustainable principles, to include life cycle cost-effective practices, will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 1-200-02. Also, includes conducting a survey for Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP) and the abatement of any ACM & LBP identified in the provided attachments. For detailed information, see the section below on Environmental Requirements. Magnitude of Project: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Location: Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan, in support of U.S. Army Garrison Okinawa, Directorate of Public Works (DPW). Note: Anticipated contract will be performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. The successful Offeror must be licensed and registered to perform work in the country of Japan. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Part 5.2, 36.211, and 36.213-2. In accordance with FAR Part 4.1102 and DFARS 204.1103, Procedures, System for Award Management (SAM), Contractor must be registered in SAM prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on registration at https://www.sam.gov . Submission Instructions: Submit your capabilities statement electronically to Mr. Roland Lim (roland.lim@us.af.mil). Submission Information: Please submit a brief capabilities statement (no more than 2 pages) outlining your firm's experience with similar projects, relevant bonding capacity, and any other information demonstrating your ability to meet the project requirements.
