This Statement of Objectives (SOO) defines the requirement for the Contractor to furnish fiber optic cable (FOC) to be delivered to the 18th Communications Squadron. The contractor must also provide incidental services to install and test the FOC for each building indicated in all zones in the 18th Munitions area at Kadena AB, Japan. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, labor, supervision, management, and other incidentals necessary to provide a complete and workable system. The Contractor shall comply with the current Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) telecommunication installation and testing commercial standard and base installation standards. All equipment, supplies, and materials provided shall be new and not refurbished. 09/21/2023 - 0001 - Update the site visit information and attachment 4 site visit request. 09/22/2023 - 0002 - Answer the questions received from the offerors. T... This solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. 18 CONS/PKA will release a solicitation for the Fiber Optic Cable in SAM.gov. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The Government intends to issue the solicitation on or about September 13, 2023. The offer due date will be set forth in the solicitation. The government intends to award contract resulting from this soicitation to the lowest priced, responsible offeror that meet all technical requirements. The Government may award the contract based on initial offer without discussion. NOTE: As required by U.S Government's Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.204-7, which will be included in the solicitation, prospective offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Below is the website link providing vendor registration information. https://sam.gov/ Prospercitve offerors are encouraged to complet the SAM registration process prior to the submittal of their offers in response to the solicitation posted. The Government reserves the right to cancel this presolicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this presolicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
