Andersen Air Force Base, Guam has a Design-Build requirement to design and construct 75,000sq ft of Type-1 KSPAN DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project will construct six 12,500 square foot Type-1 K-SPAN structures for storage of BEAR WRM assets. Construction includes, but not limited to, site preparation, developing and extending utility infrastructure for all associated utilities (electrical, water, sanitary sewer, and communications conduits with pull strings), site and roadway paving, and stormwater control and drainage measures. The structures will be erected on spread footer foundations with a concrete structural slab flooring system placed on a properly compacted subbase/base course. The K-SPAN arch panels will be affixed to properly proportioned outer bearing walls designed to maximize interior vertical storage height. Construction includes a lightning protection system (LPS), two 36” X 84” metal exterior personnel entry/egress doors with all associated hardware, two 14’ X 16’ rollup doors, one on each end, with all associated hardware and controls, HVAC, fire detection/protection systems, electric distribution, domestic water distribution, and two exterior hose bibs, one on each end, per structure. One K-SPAN structure will have an office/workspace, a unisex restroom with shower, and an employee breakroom. RESTRICTION TO SMALL BUSINESS: This acquisition is being competed as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small business size standard of $45 million. The eventual contract for this acquisition is contemplated to be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP). PLANS & INSPECTION: Available planning documentation will be provided in the solicitation.
