Andersen Air Force Base, Guam has a design-build construction requirement to replace various SF6 gas insulated switchgears. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a design-build construction contract project to remove 15 kV SF6 gas insulated pad-mounted 6-way and 4-way switches, 15 kV lightning arresters and load break elbow connectors and provide new Vacuum Fault Interrupter (VFI) FR3 biodegradable fluids, 15kV, 6-way and 5-way pad-mounted switches. This includes replacing existing 15 kV lightning arresters, fault indicator devices, 15 kV load break elbow connectors. The work also includes the securing of the new pad-mounted switches. Tentative period of performance is 330 days. MAGNITUDE (FAR 36.204): $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 LOCATION OF WORK: Andersen Air Force Base, Guam TENTATIVE DATE OF ISSUE: The solicitation number for this acquisition will be FA524022R0003, and will be available for retrieval at https://sam.gov once posted on or about 14 March 2022. RESTRICTION TO SMALL BUSINESS: This acquisition is being competed as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237130, with a small business size standard of $39.5 million. The eventual contract for this acquisition is contemplated to be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP). PLANS & INSPECTION: Available planning documentation will be provided in the solicitation. A pre-proposal site visit will be advertised in the solicitation. OTHER INFORMATION: The solicitation for this acquisition will be issued electronically and will be publicized via https://sam.gov, the System for Award Management (SAM) website. Interested offerors are responsible for retrieving their own copy of the solicitation and all associated documents from the SAM website as no paper copies will be furnished.
